1. Intermezzo Italian Restaurant History

Intermezzo Italian Restaurant opened in April 2007 and was the first restaurant to offer a truly Italian piazza experience with Italian Renaissance architecture of the historical GPO building, its grand colonnades and they outlook on to Sydney's grand piazza 1 Martin Place.

Intermezzo Italian Restaurant features classic Italian styling with white jacketed waiters and a traditional Italian cuisine to bring you, what has quickly developed into Sydney's grand Italian restaurant. To complete the experience we created a 7.5 meter wine tower that is temperature and humidity controlled to house over 2,000 bottles of wine and bring you the ultimate Italian dining experience.

Intermezzo Italian Restaurant is diverse in its experiences offering the glamour of seating under the 8 story glass atrium, the intimacy and action from the kitchen in the heritage front room and the alfresco experience of seating on the colonnade. Menu dishes include:
